Biography
You might not be able to tell
from her accent but Mandy is a native New Yorker. Born on Long
Island, Mandy also spent part of her childhood in Maryland and attended
several higher learning institutions there before returning to NYC to
live and work. Mandy’s passions are widespread; she attended
Peabody Music Institute as an opera student and sang with a small opera
company. She studied painted finishes and became accomplished at
painting murals. Her interest in cooking and baking began in her
father’s bakery growing up, and has never flagged and she even spent
some time as a pastry chef at Café Society in Manhattan.
Her career as a spokesperson
began with public television station Channel 13 as a lead player in two
series in consumer education. She developed an effortless style in
conveying information. She went on to host Good Housekeeping Magazine’s
Great American Mall Tour in which she performed a live version of the
magazine on stages around the country. A natural salesperson, Mandy had
the opportunity to work as a specialized sales consultant to the Donna
Karan DKNY boutique in the flagship Macy’s store in Herald Square.
She went on to manage the Saks Fifth Avenue account for an importer of
European designer fragrances.
After having her son, her
family moved to her husband’s hometown and she decided to make the
switch into real estate. She quickly became the top producer in
the top office in Tulsa and earned educational designations in new home
construction and the new GREEN designation in sustainable building; an
asset to the three top builders and developers she represented.
But she never stopped performing and started doing trade shows in
partnership with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Mandy describes
herself as a “life-long learner”; now living in Southern California,
Mandy has taken on a new challenge representing the Canon brand as an
account manager for a full line dealer.
